Covid – 19 Policy for Public Performances

1) Our Secretary, Ian Ashby, has accepted the responsibility to be the ‘Covid Officer’ for the Group. Therefore if any infection occurs involving Group Members, or you, our Audience, following a Public Performance he must be contacted as soon as possible so that appropriate measures and notifications can be applied. 2) If any member of your party, or member of your household, shows any signs of Covid-19, YOU MUST NOT attend any Performance until you receive a negative PCR Test result.

3) Group Members, and Members of our Audience, who have been identified as a ‘close contact’ to the virus and have been double vaccinated or are under 18 are requested to either receive a negative PCR Test or wait 10 days before attending a Performance.

4) If you cannot attend a Performance because of either of the above reasons please contact Ian (details above), so that you can return the unused tickets and a full refund will be made.

5) All Members of Kingston Bagpuize Drama Group are expected to take a Lateral Flow Test, with a negative result, within 24 hours prior to attending any Group meetings or Performances.

6) We request that you, our Audience, do the same, please, so that we can try and do our best to keep everyone safe.

7) QR Codes are on the entrance doors to the Hall if you wish to use them.

8) There are several hand sanitiser dispensers within the Hall and you are encouraged to use them.

9) The use of Face Coverings is recommended when moving around within the hall.

10) Try to keep to recommended socially distancing if possible and respect all other members wishes regarding personal space and measures that that person, or those persons, would like to keep in place during the performance.

11) Toilets have ‘Vacant’ and ‘Engaged’ signs on the entrance doors and you are encouraged to use the facilities one person at a time. – There are sanitiser sprays in all toilets.

12) We would ask that you to sign in as you arrive for the performance and The Group will keep a register of all members and audience members attending Performances for a minimum of four weeks.

13) The Group will try to maintain good air flow and ventilation during the Performance – Open doors and/or windows – so please ensure you wear suitable warm clothing.

14) Wash or sanitise hands whenever possible after handling something that someone else may have handled – i.e. door handles, window catches, tables, chairs, light switches and other surfaces including toilets, if used etc.

15) You are advised that Upholstery and Soft Furnishings can retain the virus for longer than other surfaces so hand hygiene is important when using these surfaces.

Special Instructions for Performance in the Village Hall

16) In the event of someone falling ill during a Performance there is an Isolation Area in the Entrance Lobby adjacent to the door leading to the Elkins Room. We are asked to use this for the patient and one attendant and we must assume The Patient Has Covid. We are then asked to abandon the Performance and ask everyone to disperse to their homes A.S.A.P. There are instructions on the notice board in front of the isolation area to explain what procedures to take. There are sanitiser, mask, gloves and an overall/apron etc. in a box on the table for your use. All used items must be placed in the COVID disposal bag so that it can be disposed of as ‘hazardous/clinical waste’. The Caretaker must be notified A.S.A.P. at dawnatthevillagehall@outlook.com so that appropriate measures and notifications can be applied
